The Benaiah House is a rental property located on the hillsides overlooking Guatemala City. (Engadi signed a lease in October 2015.) Originally designed as a non-traditional orphanage, the Benaiah House serves beautifully as an orientation and retreat center for boys in Engadi’s Derek Program. Boys from the Derek Program who qualify, are motivated, and most desperately need to escape life on the streets of Zone 18, also may apply to live permanently in the Benaiah Home under the care of house parents. The house includes 3 bedrooms for 9 boys, a suite for Engadi’s house parents, and an office for Engadi Ministries. This is the first step in getting the boys into a safe environment – sparking hope and true brotherhood for years to come.
