After a fire forced us out of our previous house, my mother and my five siblings and I moved to our current home. My father does not live with us because there were too many problems at home and my parents decided to separate. My father rarely comes to visit, and when he does show up, he only causes problems. My father lashes out at me, my mother comes to my defense, and then the arguments start again. This situation has taken its toll on all of us, not only emotionally but also financially. My father should pay monthly child support, but sometimes that does not happen. That means my mother is constantly looking for a job or a way to generate some income.
I have been into the Derek Group since 2015 and I like to spend time with the other guys there. I try to do the right thing, be obedient, and work hard at school. My mother has always motivated me to be a professional one day. Like some of the others here at Engadi Transformation Center, I am always ready to help in construction when the teams come.
I would like to be an architect. It is important to say that I like to draw and I feel encouraged when others tell me I am a great artist.
