Abner Poggio

I am the younger brother of Mozart, who is very active in the Derek program. I have always wanted to be in the Derek Program along with my brother, but these last few years I have not lived in the Paraíso neighborhood.

I live with my mom, my stepfather and my three brothers. My mom sells clothes and other items to financially support the family. My stepfather did not have a steady job for a long time, until one day, he had the opportunity to approach the President and asked him for a job. The President told him to speak with his assistant in order to reach an agreement and give my stepfather a job.  We are hoping something will work out.

Honestly, I am a bit shy, like my brother. For most of my life I have lived in children’s shelters, and I was very affected by having left my family and not seeing them for a long time.

I want to graduate from college and get a job one day, I do not want to be overlooked and denied the opportunity to work because I don’t have a degree. I would like to be an aviator pilot, I love the idea of being able to travel all over the world.
